Before moving to his home on the South Wales border,

in the West Midlands and received praise from the
legendary Paco Peña, as well as learning from other
notable classical guitarists such as John Williams and Andrés Segovia.
Hugh has an honours degree and an MSc in Advanced Music Production.
A quick note about amplification - The Spanish guitar is fairly quiet on its own and often needs to be amplified. New in for 2015, I have the Sennheiser EW300 wireless system, which allows for completely true sound reproduction with a very discreet lapel microphone concealed near the guitar. I use the very high quality Bose L1S for this and another PA for during the drinks reception. I can often use this system outside, mounted on a tripod or indoors in the wedge configuration (they are also designed to lie on the floor at an angle to project the sound upwards) or concealed under a table.
I bring everything I might need and then very quickly assess your location when I arrive to determine which equipment, if any will be the most suitable.
